The following pages contain an ever-growing selection of information about the agricultural environment in your area, specific crops, and other background information that might help a PCV who is beginning to inquire about the agricultural world of their community. In addition to ROOT Group member-created content, we have copied selections of some Peace Corps-created materials that are available in the IRC library.

Some of the topics ROOT Group addresses may not fall neatly under one category or another, so please focus your search by using the search box on the right.

While these sections will provide background information, PCVs interested in creating projects at site should put the majority of their energies towards surveys and research in their host community. You might also make contact with institutional resources in your area.

As with all ROOT Group material, the best way for us to help you is for you to be in touch with us. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your favorite ROOT Group member.
