Daylight Saving TimeThis is a featured page

Daylight Saving Time is done in most of the US but not at all in Thailand. This will affect the time difference between Thailand and the US, which is important to keep track of if you like to call your family and friends back home.

Example: Eastern Time Zone

During regular time, Eastern Standard Time (EST) is 12 hours behind Thailand. But during Daylight Saving Time, EST changes to Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). Clocks "spring forward" an hour, and EDT is 11 hours behind Thailand.

Table: When do they change clocks back home?

Daylight Savings Time BEGINS (spring forward)
Daylight Savings Time ENDS (fall back)

2nd Sunday in March1st Sunday in November
2009March 8November 1
2010March 14November 7
2011March 13November 6
2012March 11November 4

For more information, check out this site, or check the official US government Time site for the current official time in each time zone.
