1. Bookaid: email : bookaid@aol.com or darienbookaid@yahoo.com. They will send an assortment of English books.

They will ask you for the following info, so to speed up the process go ahead and give it to them straight off the bat:

1. Are a PCV? (They only deal with PCVs)
2. Your COS date.
3. Your work.
4. Ages of your students, if the books are intended for students.
5. US grade reading level of the potential readers.
6. Your mailing address, in English if possible.
7. The types of books you would find most useful for your students/readers?

2. Books for Thailand Foundation: Call K. Amorn at 02-652-3301 or email the president, K. Burin, at booksforthailandfoundation@hotmail.com or burin@set.or.th You or your counterpart will need to pick up the books in Bangkok. It eases the process if you bring along a letter from your school or community group appointing you as their representative to select books. Call to find out current inventory levels. The Books for Thailand office is located near the Sala Daeng BTS stop. To get there, go to the Sala Daeng stop and take exit 5. You will come out on Rama 4 Road, near Lumpini Park. Walk 1 block along Rama 4 Road, away from the park. At the corner of Rama 4 and Surinwongse, turn right, walking up Henri Dunant Road towards Siam Square. Walk about 1 block up Henri Dunant, until you come to a branch of the Siam Commercial Bank on the right. Walk around the bank to the left, where you will find the cafeteria. In the cafeteria, you will find a set of stairs leading to the second floor. Books for Thailand is located on the 2nd floor, on the right hand side.
