PRC Overview:

Inevitably many of you will find a project idea that is sustainable, community driven, but lacks financial support from local resources.
The Project Review Committee is the committee that helps volunteer find that outside funding needed for these community projects. We guide volunteers through the grant writing and project planning process on a one-on-one basis, critically review proposals before submission, and submit PCV grant proposals to outside funding sources. Specific projects will lend themselves to specific grants, and grant writing has its own specific technique, your PRC members are the ones who will help you locate an appropriate grant and make sure your proposal is as strong as it can be prior to submission.

Additionally, the PRC reviews Peace Corps-sponsored grant proposals, and makes recommendations for funding Peace Corps-sponsored grants to the Country Director. We also facilitates the Project Design and Management workshop annually at PSTII, and regionally throughout the year. If you are interested in hosting a project design and management workshop, contact a PRC member, we are always looking for good venues to host 4-6 PCVs and 8-12 counterparts.
