Main Services:

VWB or Voluntourists Without Borders is a non-profit initiative established by Track of the Tiger - a soft adventure tour operator based in Chiang Mai, Thailand since 1986.
"Our initiative is aimed at using voluntourist labour and donor funding to alleviate rural poverty, protect forests, and promote sustainable eco-tourism. The Initiative puts volunteer labour, and the funding they secure, to work alongside ethnic minority and rural Thai village groups under a programme to establish a world class eco-tourism industry. Our aim is that the attractions developed for the ecotourism industry, will be owned and operated by the ethnic minorities (hill tribes) and rural Thai villagers themselves, who have so far not benefited from a genuine stakeholding in the Thailand's tourism industry."
